There's probably no one best spyware app. I'd recommend you find 2-3 and run each one. I use AdAware from Lavasoft, and Spybot Search and Destroy. Download these and maybe others, get the updates and current spyware definitions, and run them frequently - AT LEAST once a week, or even more often if you're online a lot.
