1. Have virus in my registry and all over the place, some run on start up and can't be removed.
2. have backed up all the files i need

pc will not boot from the xp cd when re-started.

if i choose to reload xp when my pc is running will it remove all bugs and secure information that i have? need to start again with NO record of any previous use.

I looked a that Boot and Nuke thing - can i start my from the XP cd even if it is not partitioned?

How do i change the setting in the BIOS to boot from a cd?

Some months ago i download some songs from internet which want Real Media Player.i install Real Media Player v 10 on my Pc.After a long period of time i wan t to play some game so i brought Need for Speed Carbon but the following error occur when i want to run it "This program is failed to run because OS version & hardware is used to recognize your Digital Product License’your server & IP address."Please help me & guide me to some free tool or other solution i have full version of Real Media Player & i try to run after uninstall Real Media Player but the problem still their.I don't have any problem to run any other software.The DVD is alright b/c i install it from this DVD to my friend house & everything is fine. I have no problem with system requirment because i check it from EasyInfo found in EA Games files.

I am having one movie in my HardDisk actuvally it was copied from DVD. There are two floders are copied in to my system. Know i want write in to DVD CD . When i am writing with nero it sats Video_TS is not incorporate. and it is not there.But the file is present in the floder Video_ts.
So tell me how can i write the movie in to DVD. IS there another way or any good software to write DVD .
Please pass the answers.......

I would like to speed up my PC but not increase the amount of RAM. When l look in task manager l have about 25+ applications running at the same time. Does anyone know how to remove these programs so that they never start again as lm sure, while some are needed, most are not. Thanks all.

When I empty my recycle bin/trash, it makes a noise that sounds like paper being crumpled and thrown away. My friend has the same version of windows xp but we can't figure out how to make that alert sound appear on her desktop when she empties her trash. I tried looking un "control panel" and "display" but couldn't find the setting. Help?

I down loaded what was supposed to be a 1 year trial of "AVG" anti-virus software from "CA". (It was the longest trial recommended by Microsoft...I'm frugal...I can't help it.) After 2 days I received a message saying that th subscription I down loaded was going to expire in January of 2007. I decided to uninstall that software and install a more trusted anti-virus software. I went to the programs list found the "AVG" program and clicked "uninstall". My problem? The stupid program is still running! I've done a search on programs containing "AVG" and I got I HUGE list. How do I get ride of this for good without deleting something important?

I tried to install the Dream Weaver MX2004 in my Desktop, my desktop is running on Windows ME, When I try to install I get the following error
"Macromedia Dream Weaver MX 2004 is not supported on this Operating System"
