Can I burn a vcd with windows media player or any other free software? Or is there any way to get nero or other burn software for free?

yes you can. I do it all the time. Make sure you have the latest version if possible version to ensure a better burn. Just go under your music and right click on any file you would like to burn and go to add and add to burn list. Do this as many times as needed. Once that's completed, make sure all the songs fit, then click the "burn" tab, make sure there's a CD in the right drive and then let it burn the CD and in 5 minutes or so it will be done.

if you already have the vcd file and want to burn as data the you can use "Burn for free" from download.com, but if you have video files you want to convert to vcd then you can do it using ulead (free trial)

Just check it out. But don't download Trialversions or Shareware, there are enough FREEWARE-programs for it.

Try looking for a trial version. You will need DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink too.
