Saying that, 'The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer could not be correctly installed'. But I am not running Windows in safe mode. Could anyone tell me what I should do?

1st go to Tools and select Windows update and let the Micro website do the updates 4 U...2nd if not working then go here and proceed with caution...{:-{}.

First, are you using a Windows operating system which supports Windows Defender (i.e. Windows 2000 or XP). If you are then download Windows Defender again. There is a possibility that the first time you downloaded the file it was corrupted. Also, you should make sure your computer has gone through the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) validation process and your copy of Windows is genuine.
