If anybody can help , it would be much appreciated. My files are fine and can watch the originals from my computer no problem. But once I burn them, there isn't any sound on the dvd its self. Anybody has insight on this?

Check if the sound is turned on :-)
If you try to play it back on a home DVD player, it may just do not support the audio format you use for your DVDs

try to use AVS Video Converter http://www.best-video-converter.com/avs-video-converter.html

It use standard MPEG2 audio for DVDs. All software and hardware DVD players have to support it.

The program is very simple.
- insall and run it
- open a file, click "To DVD"
- click "Convert Now"
- at the end of this process, the program will ask you to insert a blank dvd
- burn it

that's all

Chances are the DVD's you're using won't support the file type of the movies. I would suggest converting them to a more common file type and trying them again. Make sure your system sound is turned on, and not to mute.
