Im not good with comuters so I need to know how to buy another stick of RAM for my computer so my computer game wil work. Please Help

I am running windows xp. I tried doing a defrag and it wouldn't let me defrag a couple files so I figured they were bad so I tried doing a scan on the C: drive. When I did this it asked me if I wanted to do the scan on restart and I clicked yes. So I restarted and on startup it started messing up it would ask me if I want to go into safe mode or go back to an earlier point when its working I tried both and xp still wouldn't load up so finally with a little messing around in the f8 area I got it past that point and it did the scan and it didn't find anything. I did another defrag and I still had the same problem but it loads up ok now any ideas on what to do?

can anyone suggest a FREE picture editing program download...im not just talking like one that you can get ride of red eyes or anything im talking about one that can make you thinner,narrow face and any other touch ups,like one that was showed on a recent episode of ugly betty?like a rite professional one that magazines might use?but a free download one?thanks any help would be great!

My flash drive is ok and work very well with my desktop but in my laptop doesnt appear and laptop can see it as unknown drive.both of my computers have XP pro. I am 100 persent sure the problem is from my laptop.Any idea???

i have been using a pc with windows my whole life...but after recently seeing steve jobs at some fair, introducing the MacBook...i am totally obsessed b/c there are so many tight options and extras...im not sure if i should switch to mac b/c of the "adjustment period" that some people say... just need an honest answer thanks!

I have two memory flash drives and they work great with my desktop computer.As soon as i plug them to my P III IBM T23 laptop it gives me an error.The error is unknown drive.That means it can not recognize any flash memory drive from USB ports
