Generally, I was not impressed with Windows 95 when it came out. I used Windows 3.1.1 for a short while, then upgraded. On that Pentium 133, I finally expanded to 128MB of RAM in 1998, but did not install Windows 98 on that computer. I really did not like the looks and changes in Windows 98, since everything that I needed in Windows 95 worked just fine.

My next primary computer was finally upgraded to Windows 98 in late 1999, and I grew to like it rather quickly. SpyWare was not yet an issue.

In late 2000, I moved into Windows 2000, and I liked everything about it. I immediately disliked Windows ME when it came out.

Since I had Windows 2000 already, I was not impressed with Windows XP... in fact, for every day use, I still use Windows 2000. It simply is not BLOATED. Of course, I use the SP4 update.

I do manage a number of Windows 2000 and Windows XP computers. Most of the Windows XP computers are updated through to the end of Windows XP with SP1. These computers have been upgraded to 512MB and work pretty good. The computers with Windows XP with SP2 have also been updated to 512MB of RAM, but I must admit that they are slower than the SP1 versions. The Windows 2000 computers are much better.

Of course, these computers are "protected" with Norton Antivirus (the plain version) and with Ad-aware, and Spybot. For some installations, I have the free Zone Alarm Firewall installed.

Window Vista has way more feature plus better hardware that support vista with window xp barely any functions that can keep up with newer technology. Plus the reason why they make a 2nd Verizon of a product is because it is better then the 1 st verizon. So before you start saying window xp is better then vista which is obviously not because with window xp barley has any functions can it support blue tooth? Can window xp be attach to xbox 360 or ps3? vista can but plus these people who are saying xp either cant afford vista or has a older computer.... And also they made a newer verison of vista less glichts.

I like it more than any other version of Windows, as I find it attractive, user-friendly, and oriented towards the things I use a computer for- music, photos, and other media.
