Mac now uses the Intel chipset, meaning that it can run Windows as well as OSX. Bootcamp is offered to allow you to boot with the one you select. This is Beta software though, and has an expiration date. Mac offers another program which allows both operating systems to be running at the same time. I don't remember the name of the program though, but I think it's fairly inexpensive.

With this, Apple has made the choice between Windows and Mac a false dichotomy.

I have used Macs at home and PCs at work since the dawn of the personal computer revolution. I transition pretty easily between the two. I suggest going to an Apple store - or if there isn't one close enough, go to another Apple retailer near you - and use one for a while. That's the best way to know if you find the Mac applications to appeal to you and what you need.

in the journey that your MacBook relies on the Intel chipset, then you definately ought to run the two MacOS or domicile windows. in case you upload some third-occasion utility, you additionally can run them the two on the comparable time. Why could you want domicile windows? properly, the only reason i like having it quite is for some very quite expert courses I ought to run. Others might have an extremely super investment in domicile windows utility they might't in simple terms throw out. Others might want domicile windows. Vista has a firewall (as does XP). It has greater aggresive secure practices settings than its predecessors. a lot of human beings discover it quite stressful and turn it right down to the place that is extremely pointless. to this point as virus themes, Macs are not immune, yet they have continually had a greater desirable secure practices kind than domicile windows from the beginning up. Vista is approximately as undesirable XP in this regard...you nevertheless ought to have some third-occasion virus secure practices to be extremely secure. the excellent device i've got ever had for working domicile windows is my present day iMac. Apple quite went above and previous imparting the needed drivers to make XP artwork perfect on Apple hardware.

Pbbt, I used Windows my whole, got a lovely little MacBook 3 months ago, and the "adjustment period" lasted less than ten minutes. It's so easy, fun to use, efficient, and dependable. I say go for it.

Never!!! Don't do it. Windows is a lot better. I have macs and ibooks in my school and they are horrible. They can't run many of the programs that Windows can.

If you really want to switch, you should switch to linux. It is faster and actually supports duo processors unlike windows and mac, although it is a lot less user friendly. :]

If you want less software compatibility with the larger applications, stick with Windows. Macs are good for video and photos. Macs are better when using data intensive applications.

Depends on what you need to use it for. Macs are very good at graphic editing. Pcs are good overall computers. My son uses both since he needs the Mac for his emedia courses at University and the pc for everything else.

Depends on what you want, Macs tend to do better with RAM because their for high memory applications. Windows are easier to use and less frusterating...so i don't know, there are better specs to both, and worse specs for both, it also depends on what you want to add to your computer. Macs run OS x(ten) and windows obviously windows, but it all depends on you...
