I have downloaded a film which is approx 800 mb. I want to burn it on a CD, but a CD is only 700 mb. I use Nero for Burning though I also have Real, Window Media, and Winamp and I tunes also. Please suggest a software to split the avi file into two smaller files.

My nephew has a cheap old PC that is running Windows 98. He is reading a book about Linux and wants to learn it on his PC. So he found a free download (image) and burned it to a CD. Only problem is he doesn't know for sure what the steps are for installing a new OS. His Uncle Jim is no help either. Assuming that all the hardware is working and the image file is correct, please give us a "dummies guide" for step by step instructions on installing the new OS. Here was his original question and no one gave a step by step, they just assumed he was doing it right and the image was wrong.

If they stay at each store one week and have 3 people in each store to install the computers.

500/20 = 10 stores per week (so we need 30 people to install them each week)

50 (weeks) * 30 (people to install) * $3000 (cost to install per week)= $4,500,000.00

For a company that has 500 location, would that be too much to install computers?

i have some videos that i have downloaded with mozilla firefox, but they are in "flv" files and can only be viewed in flv player which is fine, but i want to convert them into mpeg so i can watch them with windows media. what i really wanna do is know how to burn them into a dvd. i dont know if they will be accepted in that form of flv file.

I havent played in like 4 months and im just trying to reinstall it. When i try to it says im uninstalling it and when it tries to uninstall it has a error and crashes because the game isnt actually there. Any advice i can install it over it because the setup automatically uninstalls. I know i uninstalled it.

I am going to buy a second harddrive for my computer and i was wonderign a couple things. 1)I've heard so much talk about Linux is better than Windows. Why? give me reasons not just your onesided opinions. 2)What type of Linux is available for download? which one would be good for a first time Linux user? 3)I'm planning on installing the Linux OS on the second harddrive while keeping the original as XP.
