zone alarm internet security suite or McAfee personal firewall plus

I used Zone Alarm for many years, and liked it a lot.
But the latest versions added unneccesary features, some of which were not configuarable, and slowed down the computer way too much, especially if you have an older system.

I switched to McAfee for everything, and for me, it's well worth the few dollars for the protection.

Zone Alarm. It'll slow down your internet connection a little because it has to process everything that's going through it, but McAfee cost $$$, is a pain to work with and will end up slowing your whole computer to a crawl.

Zone alarm because I use it and I never had a problem. But you should also do a free online scan every once in a while.

iwould go with zonealarm ... they are both going to do about the same thing .. you need multilayer protection if you really want to stay safe but the absolute best way to stay safe is to know what not to do ... so, use a router with a hardware firewal + a software firewall + a good antispyware program + antivirus ... and imo antivirus is the least needed.
