Software - October 2006

I know about setting up which programs are allowed and which are not. But this has happened several times. For instance, if my computer goes on standby, and i bring the Firefox back up, it always says Page Not Found, until I close out Zone Alarm. I've heard Zone Alarm has a block if you are inactive on the internet or computer that it turns on automatically, but I am not sure that's what wrong. Sometimes randomly, I'll be in a video game or surfing the net and get disconnected from the game or sites will stop showing up and Ill have to close out Zone Alarm.
Note: this is the free version. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Usually it works perfect for about 3 weeks and then starts giving me this ****. What is going on here?
Another Note: If I Close it out, and then restart it, the page is STILL not found until Zone Alarm is completely shut off. I dont trust Microsoft Firewall, and I'd like this program to work like everyone says it does.

I have very important information on a 3.5 floppy. (My computer at work doesn't have a writeable cd rom) anyways, today I tried to open it and it keeps saying that its not formated. I cann't reformat because I need the info on it. I tried it on my computer at home and its doing the same thing. Does anyone know how I can get the info off the disk. Help please

I've downloaded Firefox and my computer won't let me run it to complete the install. Won't let me install IE 7. I've also downloaded and installed Malicious Software Removal Tool and I still can't get IE. I've also tried Opera 9 and no still no dice. Any other options? Thank you.

Microsoft Access?

How's everyone doing? There is this inventory database that was set up at my job. This database has alot of problems, but are fixable. However, this one problem is the one that cuts the cake, there is this button that tells you create an excel report based on the input we put on the database. In other words, it extracts information from this database to excel. Once the button is clicked, it tells you that the output will be on the root directory file which in my case is the c:drive. When I look at the C:DRIVE, there's no excel files to be found. I don't know if the reports are even produced? When can I do? I forgot to mention, this same database is also in another old computer and it exports the files to the c:drive, but in our new computer, it doesn't.

I have Internet Explorer6.0 and have completely deleted hard drive, scrubbed it clean and re-installed Windows. When I click to IO it opens and then just closes and stops.
