speed of my computer slow down compared to last six months when i bought that. im using win xp. it also takes long time to boot . im using dual os win 98,win xp. after log in i need to click refresh button several times . pls tell me to speed up my pc. im using xp only .

I have a few fake windows CDs and the laptop does not seem to recognise these CDs even though they work fine on a desktop pc. do i need an original windows cd to reinstall or not?

Okay, here's my problem... i have a paper due tomorrow. i've worked 3 days on it and i nearly finished. Then i decide to save it. THen i thought i "saved as" on the wrong file. Instead of saving it "proposal" i saved it as "invitation" . So then i saved it again with the file name "proposal". But it didn't save. Thinking that i saved it at "proposal", i opened the "invitation" and removed all the text. i saved it so now it's a blank document (it's not deleted, it's just a blank document). Then i opened proposal and ofund out that i didn't save it. So now all my 3 days work is gone.

does anyone know how to undo something after saving and closing the file??? i really need help.

When I tried to rip my CDs to my system this message came up, I clicked web help but is was no help!! Can any one help me please.. When I try to play an MPG, AVI & WMV file these errors come with the following players.

1. Windows Media player Classic which comes with KLM Codec pack says, it can't render the file. wmv file tries to connect to the internet when I try to play it.

2. Windows Media Player says that I have to have license approval it it asks me to download a file named it108.exe but when I run it there's nothing happening expect another dialog box with a black background comes.

Please someone gimme a solution within 2 hours ok ?
