I'll be changing careers within a few months and would like to know where I stand with my ms office knowledge and usage skills, possibly even against others in the nation. I believe this will help me determine just how much I'm worth as an employee (salary) and also aid in pin-pointing what type of job I should apply for. How should I go about testing my PC/Office skills without taking those long, boring, official cert tests? Please note: a tech career is NOT my goal, but rather some possible office work.

The problem is that I can't find a program that saves pictures in .ani or .cur. I had a program that comes w/ Windows 95 to make animated cursors, but it won't let me import images unless it's an .ani file to begin w/. Thanks! I appreciate your help.

I really need to get this done so I start using my desktop again, I bought a quickrestore that for Compaq Presario 5000, but it didn't have the option to use 5300 or 5300US, so now I want to know if I can download the CD image so I can burn it and get this thing formated.

I have that gay *** auto update crap turned off so winblows xp and there is this little red sheild with a red x in the middle of it down by where my time is, Its an icon thats crying about how my security alerts. My question is how the heck to i remove this damn icon its so so annoying to me.

msm messenger is NOT in the add/remove programs so i cannot remove it that way, when i use windows task manager and end msmsgs.exe, it comes back when i restart and interfers with my software. i need to completely remove it from my computer

I have some .jpg photos which a friend accidentally altered.

However, the thumbnail previews still look exactly the same as the original photo. But once you double-click the thumbnail to open it in Paint, or Windows Picture Viewer, or whatever application, it shows the alterations. If the thumbnail shows the original unaltered version, is there hope for restoring it? Any help would be appreciated! (Hope that this questions makes sense to folks w/ graphic experience!!)

I need to make a bootable cd and I downloaded avs for free from www.download.com. Looks like a great program, but my first disk does not boot. if you have created a bootable disk using avis can you please give me instructions, thanks.... i have an iso image saved on my hard drive that i need to uncompress onto the bootable disk.

Whenever I try to open MAME32 Plus 107, after I have copy and pasted everything from MAME32 Plus 106 except for the Artwork folder and the actual GUI, I get a message saying " The procedure code_init could not be located in the Dynamic Link Library mameplib.dll. I have reason to suspect that either I have the wrong file OR that I am missing a file from the previous emulator. I need help to accomplish either or both of these things.
