How do I remove an icon from somewhere??

I have that gay *** auto update crap turned off so winblows xp and there is this little red sheild with a red x in the middle of it down by where my time is, Its an icon thats crying about how my security alerts. My question is how the heck to i remove this damn icon its so so annoying to me.

click on start /run type in the box
msconfig
click on ok
a system configuration utility box will pop up
click on services tab
look in the list for
security center
un-tick the box
when your back at the desktop a box will pop up just tick dont show this again and click on ok
your set no more security center


p.s keep windows auto update off its a big scam from microsoft i dont use it and my system is fine

The BEST thing to do is have your puter up to date with all the recommended downloads and the icon will not be there.
If you point to it with the mousie, it will give you a balloon message why it is there, most likely it wants to install an update that is already downloaded.
Stay up to date and the problem is solved!

may be there is auto installation abt that gay stuff so what u have to do is go to control pannel and ununistall the unnecessary things that u think u dont need or u think that tha;t unknown program and then try may be that's the problem. or do the virus check. or if nothings works reinstall everything in ur computer ook
