msm messenger is NOT in the add/remove programs so i cannot remove it that way, when i use windows task manager and end msmsgs.exe, it comes back when i restart and interfers with my software. i need to completely remove it from my computer

go to control panel and go to add or remove software/programs,

it shouid be there hoepfully, sometimes for the uninstallation to take place you may need to restart the computer

go to add/remove programs on the left there is a option add/remove windows components its in there remove the check let windows do its thing and reboot. should be gone

go to the start menu, click on control panel, then add or remove programs and find the program click on it and click the change/remove button

I don't know if there is a way to remove it. You can try winpatrol which can be set to not let msmsgs.exe startup at all.

dont you just love it???you tell them all it's not in add/remove programs and they tell you to go there any way.i dont know and was hoping to see answer myself.at least i didnt tell you to go there also.

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
