I have an HP Vectra computer that I purchased used that has Windows 2000 on it. I was not able to get the disks with the computer. I would like to make a copy of the Windows 2000 operating system. I would then like to reformat my hard drive and install Windows XP on it. How do I make a copy of Windows 2000 and then clear the hard drive? Thank-you

32mb ram, floppy drive, 56k modem.
hardisk dont work, cd drive is litterly falling apart.

when i go to add or remove programs and i choose it the screen just flashes and its still there. i think its spyware, is that possible? if u look at my recent q&a u will see 2 questions like "are any of these spyware" then u will see a list of all my programs. if any of those programs are spyware blockers or scanners, plz tell me how to use them. i refuse to use anything of a download website

I cant download Java because every time i do it comes up with "another installation is currently in place" even though there is'ant, its like Java is telling me i have another installion going even though there aint! no matter what i do it will not download, so i cant download Limewire!

Is it because my computer is so old ----the previous owner could have it burn disks and everything-----I think I need to tweek my computer .. Also when I try to shut down my computer it starts to close all open programs but then it has a BLUE SCREEN -- Fatal Error and I have to manually shut down and sometimes resize the screen the next time I get on .....Pls HELP---SOS thx very much in advance...

I'm trying to beat a spot in a game ... and not having luck. I looked up a cheat that said "Start the game with the -DEVMODE command line". How do I do that?
I've tried adding \-DEVMODE (and various iterations) to the shortcut target, but it doesn't let me save the change ... I've also tried running from the command line (dos) prompt and that doesn't work either.

MY Norton Anti Virus software takes a long time to scan my computer. It started out scanning in 30 minutes, then I added Norton System Works and it started taking 90 minutes which I attributed to the fact that it is now doing a more extensive scan. But about 2 weeks ago it started taking 2 1/2 hours and last night after 2 1/2 hours, it was still scanning Program Files so I cancelled it because I had to shut the computer and get to bed. Does anyone know what would cause this software to scan so slowly?
