Software - August 2006

my computer came with 2 compartments for discs one for dvd to run and play copy and record now here is my question.
i can not watch DVD movies on my dvd compartment it tells me it needs to be decoded and i dont understand what to do nor what the message mean! what a decoder upgrade or how to install it??
my system is a Microsoft office 2000 professional!
In layman terms can someone explain what's the problem? how to correct the problem? Oh it plays music Cd's with no problem!

Any one out there tried an internet accelertor, running Windows XP Prof & ADSL. Since I installed IE 7 Beta with the phishing device an other new security program Microsoft installed, opening webpages has slowed down.

To be more specific I was looking at www.pointstone.com --internet accelerator.

My primary question is have you had any conflict with your ADSL an any internet accelerator software.

It's been taken down to "factory"-does anyone know what the problem could be? It won't restart after a successful loading of SP2.
Do the bits have anything to do with it? (ie 32 v 64 bit processing)?

You are always told that downloading stuff from limewire is illeagal and you will get caught and fined bla bla bla... yet millions of people use it everyday including people I know and nothing happens to them. Do we really have things to worry about? I know about the spyware and viruses, but you get used to it and can pick out that stuff thats bad or have really good spy-ware programs, both of which I have and know how to do. In light of everything, should I download Limewire and use it?

I have a Window's 98 computer and it runs really slow but i would like to upgrade it to window's XP but i cant. I only have 64mb's of RAM at the moment and i dont have the kind of money to go around fixing and buying new part's or special CD's for my computer unless nessisary.

ok..here's my problem..I keep trying to install msn 7.0 and i keep getting the same damn error!! it reads: MSN Messenger setup has failed with error code: '1601'. Please go to the MSN Messenger Web site and download the software from there. Everytime i do that it still gives me the error. I can't even get MSN 7 which i had and uninstalled thinking that that was the problem. I'm so disgruntled by this situation! anyway some help would be nice thanks!

im trying to install windows vista, i went into cmos and told it to boot from the cdrom instead of the floppy, anywho i did that, then it boot right, but i got this: DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER, now thats not something i like to see at all, in my past ive ran across that and found out my hard drive "bit the dust" any suggestions? should i switch the IDE cables, is it a bad cdrom? is the hard disk bad? give me your thoughts about what you think is wrong?

I need a function that will multiply the (Row x, Column x) by (Row X, Column Y) and Post results in (Row X, Column Z). But I need to replicate it for all rows without changing the code. Maybe Something like (=Product ((Whatever Row, Column x), (Whatever Row, Column Y)) THe rows change every time, but the columns will always be the same. THanks!
