WINHTTP.DLL is a driver. You need to find the driver and reinstall it. Do your have your operating system recovery/reinstallation disks? If so, you can probably find the driver on there. If not, you can do a Google search for WINHTTP.DLL.

This is a file that should be in the folder C:\Windows\System32 and it's not. Run a search from My Computer (or Windows Explorer if you're not using XP) and you should find a copy somewhere else on your PC. Copy it to C:\Windows\System32. If it's not there, you'll find one on the Windows installation disk. If all else fails, go to the Microsoft site and update your copy of Messenger.

Try reinstalling it. If you can't you could check out download.com or microsoft.com to see if you could get it from there. I rec. you trying AIM, which is free and a good internet messenger program. Just google "AIM download" if you want it

You dont have Service Pack 2, OR service pack 1. Service packs is the only way to get WINHTTP.dll, or i think it is part of the .net framework for sp2 systems.
