"Y-knot" because I don't like the newer Outlook Express and have grown tired of having to reset it back.

Go to control panel, security center and turn it off.

On Your Desktop, Right Click My Computer, Properties, Windows Updates, Select "Turn Off Automatic Updates". Your Done

Easy, click start, settings, control panel. When control panel opens look for Automatic Updates, open and change the settings not to receive auto updates

Go to start-> control panel->security center->click on automatic updates. make sure you are in catagory view. if you are in classic view, click on automatic updates when you are in control panel. once you click on automatic updates, select notify or turn off. if you turn it off or ignore the notifications your computer will become insecure if you don't update it, but that's your choice.

why would you want to? it's so much easier doing it automatically
