It was very slow with previous software, so I installed xp professiomal for better services but its works just like old one how can I find the better services, Please help.

in microsoft word, how to turn off a "feature"? the "feature" is the various symbols revealing where there're:

spaces
enters
page break
etc.

and what does this so called "feature" called??

i accidentally pressed some combonation of buttons and this "feature" was turned on. and i don't know how to disable it.

My friend gave me his copy of Sims 2 and Ineed to give it back to him soon. Is their a way I can play gamess off my hard drive like Sims 2 or GTA San Andreas. Please dont tell me its illegal, I already know that. If you know about a vrtual drive program thats free and easy to use that would be nice also.

I currently use Nero but now when I burn things I cant do much of anything on my PC. I have 1GB memory and am running a new pc but its like it takes up to much memory when burning. Is there anything that doesnt hog resources that is as good as Nero? IT must have the ability to burn more then 1 copy at a time, for instance if i want 3 copies of something it lets me enter in 3.

Im getting this message: "this windows version is not genuine, you may be a victim of software counterfeiting" and it doesnt go out. Is it possible that the windows version installed on my computer is not genuine? how do I get rid of this message?

I know how to open tabs, but when it opens it opens behind the other tabbed pages (in the background) and I have to click on the tab to show the page, and it's just a hastle. I want to know how to set it so that the new tabs show up in front by default.

I just bought a new Cisnet CPU but it does not have any Microsoft programming on it. I do still have my old Microsoft Office XP Small Business Edition CDs. What I want to know is if I can put that old XP edition onto the new CPU--is that legal? I'm 99% sure it was registered and it has product keys on it (at least on the label). If I cannot, is the new Microsoft XP update w/Service Pack 2 an entire program or is it just an update for the old system?

this problem has been going on for a few weeks and I can't figure it out. I'm unable to play any sort of media format on my pc. each time i launch an .avi, .mpg or any other sort of media format it will lock up my system completely and i will have to reboot. at first i thought it might be corruption with the windows media player so i uninstalled it from the control panel, along with all wmp updates and then reinstalled it, same thing. I downloaded real player then hoping to play some .avi formatted movies but got the same behavior....the movie will launch for a few seconds than bam the slider progress bar stops but you can still hear the audio and then a few seconds after that the whole system locks up. any suggestions?
