Software - June 2006

I'm using limewire, and it's downloading the movie at 1kbps. My computer is using 250MB out of 512MB. Nobody is uploading anything from me. I have DSL, whats wrong with it. I'm sure its not the file size, because I've downloaded one with higher MB, and the highest speed was atleast 50 kbps. Whats wrong with my computer/limewire?

i rolled back my computer a couple days ago because i was trying to get rid of norton and it would not uninstall, and when i rolled it back, all of a sudden i opened up my mozilla thunderbird to download emails and i ended up eventually downloading over 12,000 emails! And this happens every time that I open thunderbird! how do i keep this from happening anymore??????? it's driving me up the wall!

press f8 to agree, esc to disagree - i press f8 and it just sits there staring at me. esc declines agreement and reboots. wtf???

Must I buy MS Access (I am a student). I need to take an excel spreadsheet and convert it into MS Access format. But I dont own Access database from MS.

Is there a freeware option for me?

I must create an access file format as I have to use ODBC from another program to do some data manipulation for a project.

I had a pretty active forum and last week it went into a debug mode and kept giving errors when trying to post. So I tried to restore from an old backup I had which was dated April 14th.

Anyhow phpbb Keeps asking me to fill in the blanks about my database info. I DON'T KNOW IT!! I don't even know what database name or whatever is.. I just can't remember.

Can anyone give me any info on how I retain that Info... and just explain what it is...

This is what it is asking for.

How can I get Japanese applications to show the Japanese characters instead of question marks and garbage on Windows XP USA version? I've tried downloading the font packages, and Microsoft Global IME. I am able to view Web Pages in Japanese just fine, but I've downloaded some Japanese games, but they are coming up with question marks and messy characters, not the Japanese characters.

Already Tried: Windows Global IME, Windows Japanese font pack.

I've downloaded some Japanese games, but instead of showing the writing correctly, I'm just getting lots of question marks, blocks, etc. I would like to be able to play the games, with the correct characters being displayed. It's very hard to figure out what the difference is between 3 option buttons when they all have just ???? in them, if they showed the correct characters, then I could start learning what means what.

I tried downloading it from LimeWire, but I tried all of the downloads and none of them worked, also LimeWire doesn't give much choices for that app. Is there some Mac equivalent to BitLord or something, to download torrents from bittorrent sites?

I need to kno if i can sue the mirar company!!! they put their toolbar crap on my computer!!! i dont know how it even got there! cuz im the only one who uses this computer! and i did not install anything! and i cant get it off!! i have the option but it doesnt work!!! i go to veiw (on my drop down menu in internet expl..) tool bars, then they have a check mark next to related pages!! but it wont let me take off the check mark!!! go please check it out! i yahooed it and i found their site called www.getmirar.com and a bunch of other crap about it. i want it off and im so pissed i wanna kill someone! cuz everytime im doing something it pops up and does the dumbest crap! ahhh i wanna do somethign what can i do sue? find the company and stalk the owner/creator??? ill do anything im soo pissed!! help!
