when you do a new install or make significant changes to your windows xp it will ask to be activated. there is nothing wrong with your pc it is just microsofts anti-piracy thing going on. you need to activate it over the net like it says to or if it wont do that then take the activat over the phone option and follow the prompts. if you do not do this in 30days it will lock you out of your computer untill you do activate the product.

You are getting the Windows product activation alert. Windows needs to be "activated" within 30 days or it will stop functioning. This is done to insure legal usage of the product.

you just need to activate windows its not a big deal but if you don't you wont be able to use your computer until you call Microsoft however you can do it in a few seconds just by clicking on the little pop up or there should be an activate windows icon in the start menu

Do you have new computer? When I bought mine, they said I would need to activate or something my Windows, but then they ended up doing it for me while my husband was there.

In different words you want to thieve their software. No help right here as it really is piracy and not in any respect allowed by Yahoo. i'd propose deleting the question earlier yahoo deletes your account.
