My friend has just brought around a memory stick with her powerpoint program on it, can i put it on my computer and if so how. Please step by step instructions, simple and easy. Thanks in advance.

a jump drive?...u can put it into a usb port and find it uner my computer and open it its normally marked as a removable drive or whatever is marked on the jump drive itself. then just select what you want out of the jump drive into one of your folders and bang ur done

If it's a USB thumbdrive, just plug it in.
If it's a chip, I hope she brought the adapter along with it, like the old flash drives had. Even a secure data (SD) chip will need an adaptor unless your computer has the ports on the front near the base. Once you have it plugged in, go to my computer for windows or /mnt under linux.
It should up as a removable drive.

If you are running windows 98, go to the memory stick's manufacturer's web site and down load the driver.

Install, re-boot, then plug in the memory stick, after a few sec's windows should say that it found new hardware and will install it.

Then enjoy.
