i rolled back my computer a couple days ago because i was trying to get rid of norton and it would not uninstall, and when i rolled it back, all of a sudden i opened up my mozilla thunderbird to download emails and i ended up eventually downloading over 12,000 emails! And this happens every time that I open thunderbird! how do i keep this from happening anymore??????? it's driving me up the wall!

I dont know your e mail provider. But try to set it to get mail headers only and then delete all. That will spare you the time of downloading all the stuff. Only the headers will come to your machine.
Further than that I cant specify.

But if you use something like gmail, you can set the pop to sent new messages only.

i had faced once.
i just uninistall that and inistall it again.. then it was ok
