Your mistake was in not saying what the problem is. What's wrong with your system that you need the recovery CD's? If your comp is messed up (even if it's because of a virus) you may be able to get by just by doing a system restore. click "start", "all programs, "accessories", "system tools", "system restore." Once you've done that a calendar will come up. Just click the last date your system did an automatic save (as long as it was before the date your system got messed up) and click on it. It will restore your system to the way it was on that date.

Well be glad you don't need it now. Because if you did man that would suck. Or is it that you do need it now because something is the matter with your computer? See if that was in the question others might be able to tell you what magic button to push and 10 keys to type in to access the boot disk files on a hidden partitions located in sector 11b . but you just lost your CD.. Look under the couch, maybe it was left in the box it came in.

Most HP's have a system recovery way of rebooting your drives to original factory specs, etc. It is in the start menu, under all programs, Hewlett Packard, hp accessories.

I am not sure how but I think you can create your own recovery CD using a blank CD and a CD burner.
Check perhaps microsoft website and/or PC manufactuerer website as well as check in your control panel.
See ya

Call HP and give them the model number of your unit and they should be able to send you another one.
