My son said that he got an alert from Yahoo, saying that my computer has a worm. I have ran 2 different virus scans, and they detected nothing. What do I do now?

A big blue screen came up on my computer which said further action will cause damage to my computer. What does that mean?
I followed the instructions and hit F8 on my computer and did the safe thing to restart the whole thing and then I backed up to July 1, to re start my computer and WALA! Here I am back.
Is all these problems related to a computer virus and is this computer going to be ok? I keep feeling like there is something getting ready to throw me out of the Windows stuff. Does it sound like I did the right things? I am computer illiterate as all get out

I was looking at a few brands the other day, namely McAffee, Norton, and one I've never heard of, Zone Alarm. At the back cover Zone Alarm claims to have features the others don't have and it is much cheaper as well. But what do you guys think is the best?

Alright, I just download a LiveUpdate thing, and when I restarted my computer, it said 'my free trial period has ended'. I tried activating the program with the program key that I found on my computer, but it doesn't work.
It says "There is a problem with your activation key'
I do not have the CD for the program, because we bought the computer with the program installed already. What should I do?
I'm using Norton AntiVirus and Norton Protection Center, both the 2006 series.

Recently, a security app has been warning me and blocking "Falcon Picture Group' on an OUTBOUND attempt on port 137. I looked this company up and there is VERY little info. on them. I can choose to allow them but since I don't know who they are I don't want to yet. What concerns me is it's OUTBOUND. I don't have any malware on my PC so what's going on? According to Google, this company runs The Tilight Zone on the radio. What the heck is going on and what should I do?

Got a very strange question from one of my relatives today (I seem to get someone's broken computer every other day!!), and this one really stumped me.

If her computer is in "Sleep" mode and she picks up the phone her computer wakes up and she is shown the login prompt as though she had deliberately roused her computer.

Im not really sure if this is potentially a security issue or a hardware issue around her modem. Any ideas?

The computer connects to the net via a dial up modem

I have a pending cyberstalking case with screenshots of the IP address from the stalker. They will lie and claim it's not them.

How can I explain IP addresses to the judge?

Instead of clicking on the software download, I accidentally clicked on the download button in the advertisement. I ended up with a Vundo virus that took me over a month to get rid of.

I realized it today when I did the same thing and saw that the link led me to another website.
