Recently, a security app has been warning me and blocking "Falcon Picture Group' on an OUTBOUND attempt on port 137. I looked this company up and there is VERY little info. on them. I can choose to allow them but since I don't know who they are I don't want to yet. What concerns me is it's OUTBOUND. I don't have any malware on my PC so what's going on? According to Google, this company runs The Tilight Zone on the radio. What the heck is going on and what should I do?

IPX/SPX protocol on a network

this traffic is meant to be IN-HOUSE not EXTERNAL
to your network

if this is your home pc, go to the properties of your network connection, properties of TCPiP , advanced, WINS, disable NETBIOS over TCP/IP. port 137 is NETbios service. its better outbound than inbound.

What programs do you have running on your taskbar? Do you have programs like Webshots, Realplayer, Adobe photo uploader or anything like that? Also, many programs WILL make outbound network requests to their own websites, in order to check for updates...

Port 137 is NetBIOS.
Normally you do want to allow this traffic.

Just keep blocking it. Block it for good. Then if you need to change it back, you can go into your firewall's settings.
