Anything is possibe with today's technology. Why is the government mandating that we switch to HDTV by 2008? They never cared what we watched any more than what socks we put on? Isn't it all about spying?

I am not buying the "better picture" lie!! Why should the government care if I have a clearer picture screen? Go figure and be informed.

If you have a firewall, and your web camera is not turned on and is disabled in Yahoo messenger, he is probably not literally spying on you. However, it is possible to get an IP address, and it is possible to accidentally download infected files from other users so don't accept files through IM that you would not accept had they been emailed to you.
You can also change the settings on Yahoo messenger so that the default is "invisible to everyone", or that only those on your buddy list can see that you are online.

Did he define what he meant? No one with the software that comes with Windows or Yahoo Messenger can track you, but that does not mean there are not programs out there that can read your IP address. I am not sure what that information will give them, except the general location you are in. Your ISP assigned you the IP address, and they are the only organization that knows where you live. Lacking a warrant, that is all someone can get.
