some people say you can follow another person on line, know where he goes, what he says, read his e mail he sends and what he receives etc. How can that be done?

Yes it is done with Software.
Many Administrators to large corparate Networks have the ability. As well as the Government.
Don't think that for one moment your every keystroke can not be followed.
Because it can.
It's like there are certian things that are not privy to the aveage Joe.

A person can get your IP address (there are various ways to do that). Then the person will install a tracking program on your ISP's server. When you log on to the internet, the program records everything you are doing - kind of like the black box in an aircraft. Then the person will access the program and retrieve the info or watch it in real time.
By the way, I have never done this. So don't try to bust me.

If a person installs a keylogger onto your computer, they can see every keystroke you make. For example they can see your chats, your websites that you typed in, even your passwords you entered.
