I have pulled the sam (registry files as well). How can I extract the hashes from these files. I don't want to have to use a tool locally on the machine that the hashes are for...

Ok... let me restate:
I used a live cd.
I pulled all the registry files off of Computer A.
I have the files on Computer B
What tools can I run on Computer B to get the hashes out of the Sam file?

Just so I don't get my question removed: These are my computers, so I HAVE permission.

Sorry about that...

Thanks in advance.

I am looking for a nice, simple to install linux keylogger. It would be nice if I could access the logs remotely or if they were posted via FTP, but that is not nessisary. I don't care if it kernal or userspace. Even a nice RAT would work.

Can anyone direct me in the correct direction?

Thanks in advance.

Without compressing files. I am also not looking to spend a lot of money to do it. Free would definately be the best.

I have several antispyware programs installed which include the following:
Ad-aware (Free)
Spybot Search and Destroy
Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite (includes antispyware)
and Windows Defender

I've had Windows Defender for a few days now and so far it hasn't detected any spyware despite other antispyware programs doing so. Is it worth keeping and also would Windows Defender affect the other antispyware programs?

I have McAfee anti-virus. The At&t Yahoo online protection's anti-virus is off, I have some protection with updates that are downloaded from AT&T, however McAfee is what I have now for the protection. I know it's dangerous to have 2 anti viruses at the same time so I do not!! Only McAfee is on. Why is it I sometimes cannot get on the web when I click on the desktop short cut untill I go to a certain date for a restore point and restore the computer?

My mcafee was originally on windows 95; so I removed it, thinking I could reinstall and get a newer version. Now I have no protection from the same trojans that've been plagueing me for weeks. Kinda scared of the sites that promises to rid all bugs-none seem to work! Please help; I'm going nuts.

I have a Linksys firewall which terminates my cable connection.
The wireless feature of the firewall is disabled as I have a wired 100 Mb network throughout the house.

There are four PC's in the house. Each is running Adaware, AVG Anti-virus, and Kerio personal firewall.

Can someone still break into the network and garner executive privelidges on any of my PC's? How would I further prevent against this?

My NAS is a 250 GB Buffalo Technology Linkstation. It runs LINUX, however, has a UI which provides little to no capability to tweak security settings. Should I worry about this?

I think I have covered the bases but am still worried about HTTP traffic compromising security - should I be concerned about this and what would I do to prevent it?
