I am looking for a nice, simple to install linux keylogger. It would be nice if I could access the logs remotely or if they were posted via FTP, but that is not nessisary. I don't care if it kernal or userspace. Even a nice RAT would work.

Can anyone direct me in the correct direction?

Thanks in advance.

lkl (little key logger) if you are using k/x/ubuntu, you can "sudo apt-get install lkl" provided you have the multiverse and universe repositories enabled. If you cant find the package there, or you are using Debian, or any other Debian Port distro (Mepis, whatever)
you can download the .deb here;
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/utils/lkl

If you are using Fedora or anything else that uses .rpm packages, or something else altogether, you can find a tar.gz of the source code at sourceforge;
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=79324

If you compile from source, you will have to satisfy any dependencies you need first
: )

EDIT: idk if anything is ever "easy" to install in linux, however this package does feature several of the features you are looking for, just read the man pages
