How do I change my IM password?

At an earlier time, I did a search on a topic, and I don't want other users of this computer to know it. But when I start a new search, and the new topic begins with the same letter, the "personal" topic shows up in the drop-down menu, along with other earlier topics starting with the same letter. Help!

I'm just wondering because I hear about people submitting their social security numbers via e-mail, e-mail attachments, or both for their respective purposes. Personally, I'm uncomfortable, period, doing it because I'm paranoid about identity theft.

A friend is using Juno on XP (via dialup) and cannot access her work webmail from home. It seems that Juno is not allowing her to browse to any "https" site. I have cheked her internet security settings and she has everything set to medium. She has even added the site as a "trusted" site. Any ideas?

it says click the baloon so i do then it says recomendations under the firewall heading so i click that then i says enable now so i click that and a message saying i have to do it manually by going to the control panel and selecting firewall from there so when i do that it says "due to and unidentified problem,windows cannot display windows firewall settings" what do i do to get my firewall back on.

Hey all, I just wanted to pass some information on about virus burst as it seems that it hijacks windows processes and alerts users that they need to buy some bogus anti-spyware program. Virus Burst is a trojan virus and if you get it on your computer... it is really hard to remove, check out this article I found http://www.yourtechonline.com/art08.php

I do. The firewall let spyware install on my system with no consent. SPYWAREQUAKE. It came up with pop ups of porn.

I am using a software named Instant Lock-2.5 for lock important folders. I got this software from my friend. So when I tried to use his licence key. They are saying wrong licence key. I have already locked my important data with this software. Now they are saying you must buy this software otherwise you will not be accesible to use the locked folder. I have tried all the tricks. I have set up a limited access user acct ( I am the only one set up as an administrator acct) for my son on our family PC. Lately he has been able to get in, although he doesn't have the password. I believe that one of his hacker friends showed him a way to do it. How does he do it? How do I prevent him from doing it.

Is there a tab in IE under tools, is it in the control panel under security? My computer was storing the user I.D. and password and even asking me if I wanted it to remember the passwords, but I did some cleanup on my PC and now it doesn't do this anymore. i was chatting with someone on yahoo mgr and noticed that my computer was so busy processing many things and after that i found that that person sent me a pack of files and viruses one is called "ByteVerify". that person was trying so hard to get some personal info about me and a picture. does anyone think that what he sent did give him acces to my computer?
