anyone use limewire or frostwire? how come every time i try download computer sotware it always says ive got a virus?

I have a Toshiba Satallite 1105 series laptop and made a loopaback cable to remove the BIOS password that quit working. I plugged the loopback in and booted the computer. I then pressed F2 to enter setup, but it still asks me for my password. What am I doing wrong?

Okay I did this before but I forgot where on your computer to go to and what its called to where you wipe out your system and it look like you brought it over again. I don't need a disk tho my computer comes with it and I forgot what to do. Can Somebody HELP please!!!!!

I just installed Internet Security and now my color bit is 4. I tried to change it in my settings but I do not see any other option than 4-bit. Does anyone have any ideas?

This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus software's are not capable of destroying it. The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself "life owner."

Spywarequake....i have a flashing sign on my task bar saying my computer is infected.When i click it, this Spywarequake page comes up and offers free scan and program download.My Norton says i have no serious threat.Has anyone heard of this "program"or is just a trick?

I'm constantly getting WinAntiVirusPro pop-ups, as well as pop-ups from some dating agency. They have become quite an inconvenience. I need a detailed (yet easy and concise) explanation on what I can do to get rid of this.

Neither Spybot Search & Destroy nor Norton Spyware Scan can seem to get rid of this behavior, and my pop-up blocker won't block the ads.

For a couple of years when I did a virus scan my boot only ever showed one file, lately since I updated my anti virus and also added some drivers when I scan for virus it first showed 2 files in boot and now is showing 5 is something wrong with that?

actually deletes the viruses rather than just quarantine them that is free? I have avg and I talked to a customer service rep at dell and they said that free versions quarantine but then let the virus back onto your system. I just wanted to know if there was any way to actually delete the virus or to get a virus protection that is free to delete them.

Okay I have a shared computer. Me and my two older sisters use it. I write stories and what not on my account and I just noticed that the other users are able to veiw my documents and pictures and music files and everything. It's like an invasion of privacy. How can i prevent this?

I have an administrative account and so does my sisters.
