I want to know, um why does the taskmanager symbol appear at the bottom of my screen where the start button is and whenever I put my cursor near it it dissapears. It is not on. Then, I do pull up task manager and there is this process called cftmon.exe and i have no idea what it is, my spy sweeper always asks if i would like to eliminate the process and when i do on spy sweeper or task manager it always comes back. What should i do about that? I am certainly not running that process. It just pops up and when i get rid of it my computer runs faster. What is cftmon.exe?

I sent an anonymous fax to the paper. My number is blocked. Of course the fax doesn't give my identity. I don't think the actual fax machine gives its identity, does it? I don't think so.

i am using XP SP2 on desktop computer and i have, Wireless Router, USB Network Adapter, and ADSL Modem. i need to configure wireless LAN by my Router, and prevent any unauthorized user to access my computer. in the same time make a shared network access for limited users. please explain in clear step?.

confusing. At least to me they are. I have Windwos XP pro. I mostly use Yahoo answers, but I also pay lots of my bills on line if I can. I don't use the computer for any buisness of any sort so here is what I need to know.
About all these updates and if I need them or why I need them..1. inspects my computer for securtity holes with one click 2.monitors and reverses software installation if I change my mind or if installation goes poorly (I think I can do this much) 3. give me control over Widnows settings and processes on my system (don't I have contol over my own computer?) 4.notfies me of high level security threats (it sounds good but may not be) 5. hides my computer from hackers (but if the site is secure, do I need this, really) 6.automatically enables firewall after disabling it (I don't even know if I HAVE a firewall)This is not a complete list but only the ones I can't understand.
Hope someone can help me. Do I need all these things?

I clicked that icon and about 23 more icons appeared on the desktop. I'd like to clean it up. There are also other icons that I never use, mostly sbc icons that appeared when I followed instructions from the guy at sbc when I had trouble getting on the internet. But I don't want to lose internet service. I have been clicking only one icon and it's worked great for months. Just too many sbc icons clutter the desktop.

Ever since I emailed you requesting information on my email. I've been receiving these idiotic emails that does not make any since from silly named people and they are constantly sending me stupid stuff that I don't even open I just delete! Why is that? No, I can't get into the personal area of the account. The person has talked with people on my friends list, says hes a student and steals id's for fun. NO way he got my password from my computer or scams etc...... He claims it is a hacker program. Any help?

I have Norton Internet Security and it keeps popping up that i have a certain amount of days to renew my security. A number of times i have clicked a link on the message to connect with the server (im not sure what this does either) but then i leave this message trying to connect...nothing happenes......am i suppost to just leave this or go to my PC shop and get the new version ?
