I have a standard American keyboard.
Is there a way I could program Alt E to type the euro character, and Alt L to type the Brit.Lb.?
Also the c with a / like we use for US cents.???
I don't want to have to type 4 or 5 keys to get one character.
I use Microsoft XP and Works for WP, also sometimes Word Perfect and MS Notepad.

Sometimes when I turn my Dell laptop on, the Dell screen shows with a loading bar. Then, instead of loading Windows XP, it shows me a blank screen (usually with a blinking white cursor at the top which usually also goes away after a few seconds). Hitting ctrl+alt+del restarts the whole thing over, and most of the time the OS still fails to load. Sometimes I have to completely turn the computer off 3 or 4 times to get the OS to load. Why does this happen?

Help I have a nasty trojan virus and dont know how to get rid of it. I dont know the ecaxt name of it I know it has something to do with TROJAN! I have disconnected my computer from the internet. I have downloaded anti-virus programs and restarted the computer in safe mode to get rid of the virus but it doesnt seem to be working. Two questions, how long does it take to remove it completely, do I need to insert a uncontaminated disk and try to use that instead????

Hey, my laptop won't let me sign in, it loads fine, and then when it comes to the 'Control alt delete' screen, most of my keys wont work (Only function keys, the right alt, shift and control keys), and whenever I try typing in letters or numbers, it doesn't come up, and makes a beeping noise. Thanks.

graphics is the problem...Yahoo makes my computer go stupid...Error in GDI.EXE which is graphics...they tell me!

I search from Yahoo's actual website and it brings up their search page, only it looks way different from normal...but when i use their search from the bar on my web browser it brings up the old familiar page. Also other pages such as myspace have everything all flipped around. Dunno what's goin on, but its kind of annoying. any info would be great

Her 40 gigabits-per-second fiber-optic connection is capable of downloading a HD-DVD film in two seconds. The connection was set up by her son, Peter Lothberg from Cisco, as a demonstration of a new router system.

According to Peter the new system will allow data transfer between routers without transponders over a range of 1,240 miles. The company "wanted to show that that there are no limitations to Internet speed."

My question is: Are there really no limitations? An HD DVD would hold aprox. 40 Gigs of data, considering that writing to a hard drive would only allow for 3 gigs per second (and that's at maximum speeds) how can you write more than 6 gigs in 2 seconds?

I dont use system restore hardly at all.(only once i think) i dont have any viruses, just a lot of spyware/adware and maybe a worm from limewire.i kno it wont permanetly get rid of the infections but wat exactly will do to them? will my PC run faster? i just wanna use it mainly cause my limewire wont stop startin by itself. how much computer data in GB to do it and how many times can i use restore b4 it starts to do bad instead of good?

We lost the OEM CD's that came with the computer. I emailed Wintergreen and they will not provide an OEM cd replacement.

We have a newer computer and my son has our old one. He has wireless Internet through our computer. My husband unplugs the whole unit from the wall every night because he says it saves on electricity but my son says that disconnecting the modems will burn up the motherboards. My husband says it won't. Who is right?

I have tried downloading it so many times and every time I try it doesnt work. It is starting to become a big hassle because a lot of things I do on the computer always come up and say need to download Adobe and I can't so then I cant't do what i want to do. Hi, when I am writing an email and want to send pics of my grands and I have like 10 folders of them, when I click on attach it only brings up some, not all, where did they go and how do I get to them so I can access them for attach easily, I guess I create a Main Grands folder and cut and drop the other folders into it but where do they go and how do I retrieve them ??? gmail, hotmail. yahoo mail etc

I put the ethernet cord into the ethernet slot on my modem to use the net on my laptop which ihave been doing for the last few days. Now, when i try to unplug it , it wont come out!. Its stuck....Any ideas how i can remove it without damaging anything?

I want to use them to type in numbers, rather than the number keys above the qwerty letters (as I presently do). But the right hand number keys (underneath Num Lock) don't work.
