In a forum, I made a thread called "Ask Xianpu anything" in which you can ask me.. anything. I put it in the "off-topic" (the description is "This is the off-topic area. Any discussions not related to anime goes in here") area but after it reached the 4th page it got moved to the "testing" area (the description is "Test out your sigs, avatars, and other setting in here").

The mod said she moved it to the testing area because there's a similar thread in it, and that it's just "members asking a specified person random questions". The discussion taking place in my thread are not spam and some are even serious (people asking advice on RL issues).

Was she right to move my thread from the "off-topic" to the "testing" area?

One of my friend stop P2P, because many people were arrested by downloading movies, but he have downloaded many movies before, and I think there are records of downloading by his IP address. Is he still going to be arrested.?

how do i go about connecting to the internet using two computers? i currently have to modems. but to use the internet, i can only access using one computer because the telephone line is in use. what do i need to do to access both computers at the same time?
both are using ethernet connections.
someone said i need a router but im not sure.

Could someone help me out? I'm want to dual boot Ubuntu and Windows XP on a single brand new hard drive. Can someone give me a step-by-step? although my real question is in partitioning and formating (like ntfs, fat32, etc. I don't know anything about that) so any help with that sort of thing works. Thanks

1/ I tried with Ctrl+D nothing show up.
2/ right click on file and there's only "Play, Add to Window Media Player List, Open With, and Send To.." there's no Delete, Properties, Copy, Cut, Rename, and Create Shortcut.

How do I delete these files??? please

I have one user account and am using the classic login box (where you ahve to type in the username and password) and was wondering if it was possible to be able to access the same user account with another term or name. Example...Name of the user account is 1001 Is there a way for me to be able to type in 1001 and\or 1002 to be able to login.

I sometimes will call an 800 tech support number for computer help. Often the person has a Southeast Asian accent (Indian, Pakastani) and they will say, "Hi, my name is Jennifer' or 'Hi, my name is Todd." Since I know the company does outsourcing, I get annoyed. It's kind of insulting to one's intelligence. I guess I'm supposed to feel better if I hear an American name. I usually say, "Is that your REAL name?" They usually giggle and say 'No.' Then I ask them for their real name, and I usually say "That's a nice name. How come you don't use it." Does this annoy you too or do you just accept it as the way business works?

There are 3 users, two have administrative options. I have access to the pictures and everything that was done before the other 2 users were added. I want to transfer the pictures to the other person with administrative options.
