I have Windows 98, and I was wondering how I can check my firewall settings and antivirus settings and allow downloads from a certain site.
I didn't want to mess anything up and make a mistake since I don't know what I'm doing.

windows 98 doesnt have a built in firewall so if you have a 3rd party firewall ( norton, mcafee, zone alarm or whatever ) then you would have to open that program to adjust them.
One thing you can do is go to internet options and click on privacy and select sites or edit ( depending on your internet explorer version ) and add the site to your trusted sites list ) that might do it but if your firewall has blocked the site you will have to configure your firewall not to block it.

Well... Win98 doesn't have any firewall or antivirus settings built in. You would only have those things if you have installed extra software to add them. Norton, McAfee and ZoneAlarm are the most popular but there are lots of others. Click START and PROGRAMS to see see if any of them are installed.
