can i use 1 phone line to run 2 computers that have dial up. wanting to use Y/Connection for phone cord or will it work?

The only way you can use 1 phone line (dialup) for two computers, is if you set up ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). Each computer will have to have a network card and you will need a cat5 cross over cable to hook between both network cards.

you could use internet connection sharing and run an ethernet cable between the two computers. will be slow but if thats what you gotta do.

No, not at the same time, you can if you only try to access the internet with one or the other, but not at the same time, speed is a problem.

use the inline filters or a router, not the same line with two pc's.
