I've tried addons, options, everything. Someone point the obvious answer out to me.

Whenever I do as pepper says and add a new toolbar, as soon as I click done it's not there! I'm very very computer savvy and this is driving me nuts.

view | toolbars | customize | click the button that says "add new toolbar"

I dont think u can, but if the list gets too long you can create extra folders and sort out the book marks into the new folders by subject. Open BookMarks and click on Organize Bookmarks - click on New Folder - give it a name and click OK... Drag and drop the book marks into the new folders

Did you type in a name for the toolbar before clicking [Done]?
