It will soon be time to buy a new pc as my current one crashes even in safe mode. Does anyone know where one can get the best bargain pc's and tell me what these bargain prices range from please? I can't access the internet for too long without my pc crashing so it is hard for me to personally look.

Are there any relatively cheap pc's which still run windows xp, have around 512 meg RAM and sufficient storage space on them?

My internet connection speed is 512, One of my friends is only 256 and hers says 10.0mbps as well, another of my friends is on adsl2 and theirs says 100mbps, what does it all mean and if I am faster than my friends why are we both the same?

my computer guru says google toolbar is kind of tasty to malware- i recently was part of a "rootKit", and never want this to happen again- how can i recover my bookmarks from firefox and move them to bookmarks in explorer, also is there a way to download latest firefox without the google toolbar and google stuff? I feel bad saying that about google - i love google and miss my gadgets and toolbars, just still nervous right now, costly bad thing - oi! i just google now from bookmarks, but i need to recover my data from firefox (bookmarks) and can't seem to do it without downloading it, and with the google goodies? hmmmm can anyone help? this is costing me toooooo much time,

I get documents with comments hidden in the text, which I am supposed to respond to. Only I don't know how to see the comments - i just see little bracket lines. Do you have any suggestions?

It shows up in the taskbar for a split second about every 10 minutes. It's particularly irritating when it boots me from a game like unreal tournament. My OS is XP Pro. Thanks.

I have a compaq computer. I set the user password in my bios so when my computer boots up it would require that password. It is not asking for it though even though the bios shows it as being set. Can someone please help me with fixing this problem

Okay so i filmed a movie with my friends all day today... we had a lot of outtakes and i needed to edit the film... i put the DVD (its a small one.... mini-disc) into my PC and tried to run it on a program so i could run it... i tried to play it but it said that he needed to be saved to a harddrive... i tried saving it to my harddrive and it said the disc was "read only" and i NEED to get it so i can save it... i do not want to film it all again... it took 2 hours for 6 minutes of footage... is there any way to format the disc so i can save it to something so my program will read it and i can edit it? (step by step if possible)... the program is showbiz 2... if i can format it can u give me steps on saving it to my hard drive?

Just got a new computer and its Windows Vista but theres one problem. I can't turn off my comp. I goto Start, Then onto that little arrow, then the little window pops up sayin Shut Down, sleep,Log off ect. When I click shut down it doesnt. Tryed Ctrl, Alt Delete too. How do I do it?

I've had this computer for 2 years with no problem. Now for about a week it is starting to mess up and im not sure what it could be. When i try to turn it on it goes into some kind of "Hibernation." The computer screen goes into power save mode and ALL programs automatically are off. This happenes before anything loads up, while it's showing the logo for computer type, or at the start, during, or after Windows XP is loaded up. It will also happen randomly while im on the computer doing things. It has nothing to do with the "Power Options" menu. And when it does happen i've noticed a very low click sound. I cant afford a new computer and I really need info on how to fix this if anyone knows, could it be the Ram or maybe Windows XP? Please help!

i have been asking this question all week and not had any real help. i just tried to download the ie 6 as i have ie 7. i click the download button and nothing happens. its the same when i try to save photos i cant save them i know how to it just does nothing when i click on it. i really need some help as this is effecting my online job. also i dont have my main tool bar on the ie 7 browswer. the one where it says options file help etc....can someone please help me with these problems as i cant fix it. im on msn crazymisstee1984@yahoo.co.uk you can also look at the answers i have had in previous question. i know some will offer i down load firefox i would but i cant download anything off the internet so it wont work i have done virus scans and everything nothing
