It will soon be time to buy a new pc as my current one crashes even in safe mode. Does anyone know where one can get the best bargain pc's and tell me what these bargain prices range from please? I can't access the internet for too long without my pc crashing so it is hard for me to personally look.

Are there any relatively cheap pc's which still run windows xp, have around 512 meg RAM and sufficient storage space on them?

Cheers

Dave

I'd just like to echo the advice of the person who said, Dell. In my opinion, their products are excellent and come with a guarantee. I am using a laptop from Dell bought in September 2005. In some cases, their products have come down in price and there's always an 'event' or 'special offer' worth looking at. Prices start at about £325 and, laptops, a little bit dearer.

Go onto the Dell website and have a good browse. One bit of advice, though: You'll be better off buying online than over the phone as I did. I didn't have (or know anything about!) a computer when I ordered mine. The telephone service is dreadful, but the computers are A1, 100% GREAT!!!

reminiscence right now's extremely cheep and also you should be able to get yet another 512 card for round $ 15 or a lot less. The a million.5 gig sport has to do with disc area for the report and little to do with the quantity of reminiscence you've, so as that isn't an situation. one element I do on an older laptop operating Chicago 98SE that you are able to also do on an XP gadget is close down each and every thing except the little spkr icon on your pastime bar, once you'll play a sport. you would possibly want to also get more advantageous speed in case you employ the ol' 3 finger salute to close each and every thing else off except explorer and kit. With basically a 512 gadget i might want to guess that you actually have a sluggish processor and a smaller HD, so it might want to nicely be time to defrag yourchronic too.

Need to Know about where in the world you are located. Many repair shops seem to take trade ins when a company upgrades, then fix up the used one and sell it pretty cheap.
