I have an ordinary fax machine, one that plugs into a landline outlet. Is there a way that I can connect this to a device so that it can operate wireless ? Like a cordless phone except that the "handset" in the cordless phone combo is the fax machine.

Say I see an item for auction, say for 1 dollar starting price. I know it's worth maybe 20. If I place a bid of $50, won't that 'freeze out' any other bidders since they'd have to bid at least $51 to get in the game? Will I get the item for the starting price if I'm the first bidder? If others have bid ahead of me what price will i pay?

I don't want it hooked up wireless or anything. I just need to be able to hook it up every now and then for program downloads and updates. Or will I have to set it up if I'm gonna use it for my other computer, ya know, not just plug and go.

When I somtimes start my computer and its about to log into the user accounts I get a blue screen saying the following message,

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shutdown to prevent damage to your computer"

Then its got more stuff and at the bottom it says

Beginning dump of physical memory to disk, and it has a number on the side that goes up like seconds.

I know I have a memory problem but is there anyhow I can fix this problem. Im using XP at momment.

hello i am having trouble with my computer today i started up my computer and it started slow as heck it took about 10 to 15 min for it to become functional. and when it did i clicked on firefox to surf the web and it took at least 2-3 min for it to load.i opened task manager to end some programs and i noticed wmpnetwk.exe had 100% CPU usage but low mem usage and when i would end that one system idle process would shoot up to 99% and i couldn't end that one.but after 2 minutes wmpnetwk.exe would come back low at first then shoot up again.i don't think it's a virus.is there a way i can fix this problem?

ok when every i try to rename a file on my desktop like a mp3 song or a video file like a avi or mpg or wmv ok when i try to change it. It gives me a warning telling me "If you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable" there's a yes and a no when i put yes it becomes it a broken file. Please help me

Okay so this is most likely me being dumb but, i have a bunch of music on my computor and it all used to show up and play when i opened the media player. Now when i open the program up instead of all my songs in the library showing up i just get a message that says "There are no items in the library yet" and it says i can "click here to add files but that isn't working. All my songs are still on the computor in the MyMusic file, and i can play them from there but i want them back in my library. How can i do this?
