you must have upgraded to wmp 11, not user friendly, either look for another player or roll back in add/remove to wmp 10, or you can make playlist of all your music, and it will show up then.

Songs will appear in your library if you save the list as a particular file name. Therefore,if you have all ur songs saved as a file name, you can trace it from Windows Media Player itself.
There is also one other thing.....windows media player does play files u have selected to play from memory even without saving them. This will disappear once another person plays something else such as songs, videos etc etc. So,if someone else has played something on media player, then those files will show up when you open the same.Put simply, windows media player will play the last thing that has been played on you PC.
That's not all!!!lol.....Songs on ur player will not be there if the "history" has been cleared. That is,if u have not saved all ur songs as a file name in the library, they will not show.People usually clear the "History" because some of em do check out "STUFF" they dont want others to know.
Ok to resolve ur issue,if u cant add ur songs from the player, just open ur music folder(where all ur songs are) and open media player as well. Now click the "restore down" button for ur music folder(which is the one on the top right corner where "close" and "minimise" are)Select all ur songs and drag and drop them into the"now playing"section of media player.
Hope that helped and next time dont forget to "save" ur songs in the library. If the history is cleared, you can always open the saved file.

Remove Windows Media Player then download it again along with re-install it. Once it's installed then it should all of the songs on your computer into the library. It should work and you should be able to play music from your library in Windows Media Player.

Open Media Player.
Press "F3"
It opens a dialog box. Just hit enter.
It automatically searches for music file on your computer and adds them to library. You are all set after that.
