Is there any hardware, software, or ways to put allot of music on my computer while keeping it running smoothly and fast? I have a ton of music in my iTunes that i want to keep handy, yet it is slowing my computer down. Any suggestions? (external hard-drive, upgrading RAM?)

I was wondering if you can remove the list of things you've typed in the past somehow? Whenever I type a letter on a search engine I get this list filled with all the things I have looked up in the past. How do you get rid of this? I have a windows XP.

I downloaded a file from Limewire but it just won't play, so I tried to delete it but it just won't delete. I have tried cuting and pasting it in the recycle bin, hiting the delete key, nothing will work. I can't even avoid it because when I try to cut and paste it in another folder it won't move to the other folder, it just stays in the same place. Does anyone have any advice?

Okay in my CST class someone just had a computer issue, the screen was blue and had some stuff on it and told him to restart it. he restarted like 10 times and each time that blue screen is there. Isn't that called the 'blue screen of death' and what does that mean anyway? My CST teacher says she's going to reformat it and says it's no problem but this idiot in my class insists on trying to fix the damn thing himself. ( Off topic: CST is a computer building/networking class..it means Computer Systems Technology) Anyway so tell me about what's up with this computer, just in case if it happens to my computer at him I'll know what to do about it. Does it means one's computer has died?

You know when you have your pictures in Windows XP (Jpegs), and you edit the in photoshop or whatever, then you save them, the actual picture is changed when you open it, but sometimes (it seems just randomly) the thumbnail doesn't change to match the new version that you'v just saved. Why is this and is there any way to avoid it? It seems to happen randomly and is just really irritating!

We had them at music college. They sit on the floor and the front opens like a door for when you want to put discs in and stuff, and when its closed its dead quiet.

But I read on the description on the cable, that both computers need to be Pentium based. My new computer (the one with Vista) has an MAD chip, but the old one is a Pentium 4, is there THAT much difference, and if not why does it say they both need to be Pentium computers?

Really odd question, but what system would I have been using back in the early 80's which I used to do really simple programming to make a train drawn out of 0's and 1's move across the screen?!
It took hours to key it all in, and was a realy thrill!!
Thanks,
Kate

Since about 1999, I have used a webcam to make videos and they have been saved as avi files. they have worked up until recently. Win media just plays the sound now and no video. I tried vlc, realplayer, divx(which tells me it may need directshow codec, which downloaded and installed and nothing, I have DL'd xvid which I have no clue what that does, I have played with display settings on dxdiag, on my 7600Gt Nvidia, all kinds of things basically and nothing. I re-formatted recently is the only difference but there aren't any different programs on my computer that weren't on it a few weeks ago when those vids did work. What on EARTH is oging on? Win Media faq blows and when I do play the file it says codecs acquired so its showing no error just not showing video. The computer recognizes it as a video file according to its properties and not a wave. Please someone help, I need as many options as possible and break it down in lay-mans terms too if you get real techincal with the computer.
