A 486 or pentium? Or does it not matter? I dont think XP plays DOS games, am I right?

an old Pentium will be better the a 486 and yes XP dose play DOS games.... but you will have to load them through the command prompt by going to start, then in the run box type cmd and hit enter

A 486, probably a top-of-line model like 100 MHz or something, I was thinking of a game call Hi-Octane, an otherwise great game except there is no CPU speed control and game runs Fast Forward on Pentiums, a friend of mine told me the same thing happens with X Com series which he is a fan of.

You outfit about 8 megs of RAM in such system. That should be more than enough, or get even more and create a RAM drive for kicks.

Stick with 486 and DOS, if you are really that serious about DOS Games

the computer dosent matter. if you have a newer computer (compared to DOS it could be 10 years old) you can get a DOS emulator, those work well for most computers and even have settings to help your program work better

click start go to run type CMD your in dos oh by the way it doesnt matter
