If I delete gimp on my computer, will my computer restore all of the MB's it took to download it, or is it gone for good?

Also, will it restore the memory?

When you uninstall any program, that space is cleared up, assuming all components were uninstalled properly. The actual file that you downloaded containing the installer can be deleted as soon as you've installed the program, or at any other time.

Don't know specifically about GIMP, but in general if you do a correct "uninstall" you should get everything back. I hedge on this because I have had programs that threw their trash all over the place and even after uninstallation, I was finding debris in all sorts of places. But plan on getting it all back. GIMP is big and even if it leaves a few pieces here and there you will get almost 100% back. BTW, have you priced memory lately? If you are squeezed, it is cheap to fix. I got a USB hard drive sitting on the floor in a little box the size of a text book that holds 280GB. Cost was $65.

Deleting it will restore about 99.9% of the space it took up.

It will because I use Gimp myself.
