get a valid S/N from the sticker on the side of your computer.

Click on Activate ...then Activate by Phone.. then call the Microsoft # on the screen..and follow the prompts to activate...if they put you thru to a rep just go ahead and expalin to the rep that you are reinstalling and they will walk you thru it...it will NOT be a problem if you have a genuine XP..

As said above, there will be a license # either on a sticker on the side of your box or on the manual included with your software.

Note that if there is another computer out there using the same registration code, the code you try to use will be identified as invalid.

The code can only be used once, by one unique system.

Same way you had installed, first time.

Load XP CD in CD ROM drive and click new install or repair once CD boots ups. You will be guided by the programme thereafter.

You will be asked during installation or you can activate later:
Start Menu/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Activate Windows.
