i.what if i forgot to log out my email or friendster in pc 1, but at about 2 hours later i log on to the email or friendster at pc 7 for example, does its mean that i dont have to log out in pc 1 but can log out too in other pc wherever it was located? For your knowledge all the pc i've told here was connected to a bus topology in a same domain.

I have heard of programs that you can use online that automatically back up for you weekly. Are those any good and if so which is best? When they back up does it back up everything on your computer or just your documents? Ideally I just want a complete copy of everything on my computer. Is that wishful thinking? Thanks for your help!

Okay, I consider myself fairly intelligent but of generation where any computer knowledge I have is self taught.

I CAN NOT figure out why, when I am typing in ANY application, including this one, that sometimes when I go back to add a word in the middle of a line of text, it just types OVER it, not between it. I will have done nothing different that I am aware of. In typing an email for example, I'll just have to start a new one since I have no clue what I have inadvertently done to make this happen or how to undo it. I am sure it is something simple- can someone please clue me in? Thanks

I need to fill out a scholarship application which is a PDF document. The form says I have to type on the form but I don't know how I can type directly on that PDF document. I tried copying and pasting the form from the PDF to Microsoft Word, but it looks really sloppy. Just wondering if there was a different way to go about this and possibly type directly on the PDF. Thanks!

im generally askin' about the new Mac OS X.... i jus' got a MacBookPro 2 weeks ago and i love it... what about you..? the best thing about it is that it's not all bulky like them other notebooks... and the red speck cover gets great compliments....

i dont think that i could ever switch back to a PC...

another cool thing about it, is that us mac users dont have a Right Click button... Thats so cool...

I spend a lot of time over at IMDB.com (yes, I'm a film geek), but there's this Troll that's attached himself to my hip. I've tried the higher road thing, the ignoring thing, even criticizing his poor grammar--but he just won't go away. He wants me to get funky but I don't want to go there.

My son thinks I'm too old, too slow & therefore too stupid to understand any of this. I 've set in place Parental Control etc. but he's way ahead of me. He can't get into the PC without MYpassword but now I find he's changed his.
(I will add that this boy has already been assessed as a 'Gifted ' child but it drives me bonkers sometimes that he thinks he is emotionally mature too & knows the answers to everything.He's 12 but in my day you didn't lnow everything until you were at least
14!) He is a darling & I love him to bits. He clicks around this thing at the speed of light so I'm lost. Please help with the computer stuff if you can. Thank you.

My friend got a new HP Pavilion dv2000 Laptop with Vista installed on it. He gets a "can't copy" message when he tries to back up his Disney DVD (which he CAN backup on his older desktop). Is this "copy protection" a hardware or software issue on his laptop?
