Get a program called Replay Video 8. It can save any video that you play on your computer - regardless of the source or any locks that might be on the file.

The best way is to use TubeHunter which can downloads videos from over 20 video sharing webs. That's very easy to use and also very efficient.

Play the video you want to save.
In your address bar type the word "kiss" between the www. and the word youtube.
This will take you to a download page.
If you don't have a FLV player you can download one free from the internet.

go to http://vixy.net/ , paste URL in the box and choose the format you want to convert. Don't need to install any FLV player.
