I have a older compaq and a newer compaq and I was wondering if there is any way to take the memory off of the older computer and put it on the new computer. I also wanted to know how difficult it would be take the modem and the eithernet cable off of the older computer and put it onto the newer computer.

I have never used a Mac before, but have heard some positive things. I would most likely get a Mac laptop so I can do papers, research, and take it with me to class. How is Apple's word-processor? I am currently using Microsoft Word 2003. If you are a Mac user, which model do you have? Any facts, thoughts, and personal experiences will be of great help. Thank you.

I was trying to save some graphics I had made onto a cd. But a error came up saying they couldn't be moved so I clicked retry and they disappeared. I know they are still on the computer because I had downloaded some program that recovers photos and I found only two of my graphics. But that program didn't really help me. I have some of my graphics backed up on photobucket. But thats only the newer graphics. Does anyone know how to recover them?

I reded the windows on my Dell with XP and now when it boots it has a black screen with 2 Microsoft Windows Xp choices. The tab is on the first and if I do nothing is counts from 20 and then loads normally. If i scroll to second one and enter it would work and I scroll back to one and hit enter then it loads.

I want to start a journal on my computer but not like on a website, on my computer so I could go to My Programs and open it. But I want it password protected because my computer is used by everyone in my house even though I have my own account on it. Please help! I need to know how to password protect it!
